Where did you read "speed increase"? I see a '40% chance to receive a glancing blow' but nothing abt speedMonty Burns wrote:Just got through deconstructing and remaking the vehicle and just thought I would post my results in case anyone was interested.

There is no ghost, just follow the trail of candy from the Mos Espa shuttleport to the cantina and inside you will find a stormtrooper, talk to him.atox wrote:is that about the same speed as the swoop? either way if i ever find the "ghost" and finish this quest ill have to get it reconstructed.

Ok how about I rephrase it,Zimoon wrote:Where did you read "speed increase"? I see a '40% chance to receive a glancing blow' but nothing abt speedMonty Burns wrote:Just got through deconstructing and remaking the vehicle and just thought I would post my results in case anyone was interested.

ADVANCED STAP-1
Speed Increase - 80%

The STAP-1 is slower than a Swoop by roughly 15-18% as measured over 3 races on the Mos Espa race track.
Race one:
Swoop - 424 seconds
STAP-1 - 496 seconds
Advanced STAP-1 - 432 seconds
Race two:
Swoop - 426 seconds
STAP-1 - 503 seconds
Advanced STAP-1 - 425 seconds
Race three:
Swoop - 432 seconds
STAP-1 - 500 seconds
Advanced STAP-1 - 426 seconds
But you are correct the numbers I was looking at were 40% and 80% Glancing Blow.
I will test the speed of the Advanced STAB-1 as soon as I get back from breakfast but as I originally tested it against another unmodified STAB-1 I can safely say it is significantly faster.
Ok ADVANCED STAB-1 results added in red.

Re: The ADVANCED STAP-1
It's as fast as a swoop and an at rt. Also manouvers much better than the at rt.

The RT is faster than a Swoop though isnt it?GeckoOBac wrote:It's as fast as a swoop and an at rt. Also manouvers much better than the at rt.
I imagine the Advanced STAP is as fast as an RT but I am certain the standard STAP is slower based on the times given above.

I believe it is:Hurlobacca wrote:What are the resource requirements and relevant stats?
12k Ferrous Metal
3k Nonferrous Metal
The only important stat is SR (100%) and I am told it only affects the hit points of the final product.
Oh and only the Advanced STAP-1 is customisable.

I take it that I need to goto a DE for this Advanced STAP-1? And, can i take the one given to me from the quest or is it a purchased one? Thanks

Re: The ADVANCED STAP-1
You take the one from the quest and add it to your datapad, from there you deconstruct it and give the schematic to an Engineer who will turn it into the Advanced version for you.CasualCrafter wrote:I take it that I need to goto a DE for this Advanced STAP-1? I mention the bit about first adding it to your own datapad as it is impossible to deconstruct it otherwise which has caused confusion for others.

Re: The ADVANCED STAP-1
I do recommend watching out for the crafter though. Not because they can steal it, but because I've seen a few of them spamming Eisley to upgrade it for 1 million credits a pop.
