Surprised this has been missed for so long:

You can purchase a 1-hour buff for +100 luck in the Meatlump Hideout.

Also, my friend claims he created a +12 RE chance powerup (perhaps with the +2 from crafted in RE chance and all the new available luck buffs, it's possible)

Ill confirm when i see him again.

Cool, you are the first that tell me :)

Inside the Meatlump Hideout, I take that under the Clone Facility in Coronet. Do you ha e a waypoint handy? And the name of the guy? Some directions? Appreciate your help.

Guide

Quote:
"To get the luck buff, you have to pay 1 Lump for a kiss. The booth is setup in the rom that contains the Meatlump King, right next to the Complaints booth. Ofcourse to get to that part, you'll have to go get access to the hideout first, meaning you'll have to go through all 7 parts the OP listed."

Edit: Wow! Apparently theres a chance for a -100 luck debuff for an hour. However, talk to the complaint droid. Choose to hold and keep holding and through some more clicking, you get the debuff removed and they refund your lump. Says its 1-time only but im not sure

Thanks a lot. If it is a one-time-only it better not be included in the guide, I will dig into that though.

Nono, the removal of the debuff is one-time-only according to the droid, I have yet to test this and will do so asap. The luck buff is repeatable.

That was something different, indeed :)

No, the math says no:
Code:
PUP = round_down( 2 * Power_Bit / Modifier_Ratio * RE_Chance / 100 * X )
With full REChance (159) you will still end up short.
PUP = round_down( 2 * 35 / 10 * 159 / 100 * X ) = 11.13 plus possibly some from the X.

Somebody showed us that closer or above to 170 is the minimum on REChance. We do not know exactly how much X can vary and how much Luck affects the variation, but even with extremely high variation, lets say 1.05 you still need to get around 165.

Those with suits from that short time window RE makers could create uber stuff are that high and I am told these guys do +12 REChance. Life is unfair ;)

If you are using +12 PUPS (which was thinking about picking up but decided against it) doesn't it put one at 162 RE while PUP'd up?

so

PUP = round_down( 2 * 35 / 10 * 162 / 100 * X ) = 11.34

Only way to breach 12 is if X reaches or exceeds 1.059, which, just getting into RE'ing 1-2 days ago and coming back from a 2+yr hiatus I'm assuming this variable is difficult to achieve.

Still too short of the mark for my tastes which is why I decided against paying 1mil per pup charge.

I decided to use the values that common players can use and I only wrote a comment that it was once possible to create stuff that takes you past the general cap. I usually don't want to confuse the newbies with information on stuff that ain't possible for them to achieve ;)

Wanting to crank out my own +11's I went ahead and bought a few charges of clothing, armor, weapon with +12's. Cranked my luck up to 1200 (best I can do on a 2ish week old toon) and RE to 162 and out of 4-5 PUPS I could only come up with a +10 PUP. Damn X variable, lol.

Yeas, I guess I have to add the phase of the moon, wind current, solar spots, and my aching neck to the list of factors that rule X ;)

I was making third order bits yesterday by putting a +35 first or second and a 3 stat clothing item into the tool, however, when I went today to do this I couldn't add the bit and the clothing item, refused one if the other was inside. Anyone confirm this?

Newb question but how is it that some PuP's are named i.e., Healing Potency Armor Powerup.....yet ones I make just say "Armor Powerup"? Is there a way to control the name? This would be very valuable to me in terms of marketing if people can narrow vendor search by what they want.
