Stat caps
Forgive me if I've overlooked this little tid-bit of knowledge, but is there an easy way to figure out the generic stat caps? (like how high Conductivity can get for steel in general, not a specific type) without trying to find a specific resource from each type and back-calculating what 100% cap would be, and then comparing all of the sub-types to find the one with the highest cap?
(sorry if that made little to no sense)

Re: Stat caps
Since I have changed my ISP I guess the ugly page I had the XML file at is closed, or will son be:
EDITED: Files now found at http://simongronlund.googlepages.com/swgresourcefiles
It is human readable but is really meant for computers
Also there is some way to browse resource classes at the main site here I just don't remember how. I think there is no link to it from the main page. Sobuno HELP!!!

Re: Stat caps
EXCELLENT! That helped sooooo much.
But it brings up a question - Does generic stat derive it's min/maxes from the stats of it's subgroups?
IE - Steel. In the xml file, CD Cap of 650. But it has a subgroup member Hardened Arveshium Steel with CD cap of 1000
This begs the question, if using the Hardened Arveshium Steel in a "Steel" slot, would anything CD>=650 count as "perfect" ?

Some numbers are in error, I don't remember which. And new resources classes are not there.CasualMaker wrote:Is Lunariel's Guide to Resource Caps out of date?

The XML file is up-to-date, plus it can be parsed by applications.

Our best guess about what happens when you use a Hardened Arveshium Steel with CD over 650 is that when the caps are figured, that Steel will be assigned a 100% for CD. There is no indication that the game ever gives a value over 100%, which it should not.

Re: Stat caps
This is where I get a little confused. From what I've read and understood, you don't need 96.2% (assuming +4% expertise bonus) on every stat required by a schematic, just so the average of them is at least 96.2%. This would imply that the stats over 96.2% keep their excess values to counterbalance those stats below 96.2%. With the case of the Hardened Arveshium Steel, any CD above 650 should then keep their proportions to the 650 Steel CD cap and be a huge help to counter any less than desired 2nd and 3rd stat values.
Ahh the list of things that need testing grows every day. Oh joy.
