Another question on BM components

Post by Monty Burns » Wed Oct 29, 2008 5:06 am

I am trying to make a capped Centrifuge Burst Piston, I get 29% on the initial combine and 4-5 Amazing experimentation's but cannot get 1.0 on Purity, the best I get is 0.99; anyone have any theories as to what is going wrong?

I was under the impression that if you got 29% on the initial combine and at least one "Amazing" during experimentation the item should cap.

I'm not a munitions trader but usually those dreaded 99's are due to one resource not meeting the max for that stat. Its either OQ or conductivity and your crafting tool should tell you which affects purity and adjust accordingly. Perhaps a food boost will put you over the top.
I just bought some 1.0's so its do-able.

Yea, one of your resources isn't quite high enough. If you post the stats on what you are using, we might be able to figure out where the issue lies.

Ok well here goes...

Steel - 96.00%
CR - 739
CD - 645
DR - 959
HR - 999
MA - 393
OQ - 927
SR - 973
UT - 995

Iron: - 94.75%
CR - 768
CD - 469
DR - 909
HR - 950
MA - 528
OQ - 957
SR - 918
UT - 942

Gas: - 99.1%
OQ - 991
DR - 184

I have already concluded that the weakness is in the Iron however the problem is that there are few if any Irons on Sunrunner that rate higher this and certainly none have spawned within the last 8-9 months outside Mustafar, I have tested better steels (namely JTL ones as they do not have the CD cap) and had some success but even those steels are in very short supply on the server.

I really think I am trapped into waiting for something to spawn.

Steel or Iron Monty

Try playing around with substitutes, I highlight a few to see which way the "green bar" goes, up or down. (sometimes what looks best, isn't)

Steel OQ of 927 is too much to make up. (34 points) The 991 gas, 927 steel, 957 iron = out to 958 (not 961)

Iron MIGHT be ok, it looks to me better than the steel...but play around with that too.
