Re: SWGAide and Windows 7

I have Win7 64bit and am not having any of the specific permissions problems you are having, and SWGAide installs and runs just fine. Returning to Vista won't help you if the problem is actually that UAC is controlling your everything, since UAC was even more intrusive and annoying in Vista. Advise ...

Re: swgcraft iphone app?

This would be so cool. A total time-waster (if I'm away from my PC and using my phone, it's not like I can go get those resources anyway) but I would still love to have an app like that anyway, the crafting geek in me I guess. The one linked above actually looks like it was pretty nice, but also pro...

Re: Question on GUI for schematics

I rather like Seldom's proposal, and think it matches the "tree" option best, so that is how I voted. I assume that by drop-down boxes you mean a schematic search similar to that on SWGCraft itself. Personally I find that one to be useful only when I know the exact name of the schematic I am looking...

I oopsed :D

Yesterday, I was adding a bunch of old/historic resources on SWGCraft so that they'd show up correctly in SWGAide, and I accidentally added one incorrectly. I was hoping someone could either fix it or show me how to do so (assuming it can even be done at the normal-user level.) When I click on "edit...

Re: Next SWGAide soon available

I haven't had the will or the time to lend my testing time Zimoon, I feel bad about that. But I am rather fond of the Google approach -- release something in respectably stable beta state and let it sit there as long as it needs to as you polish it. It doesn't need to be perfect immediately, and no ...

Re: Star Wars Galaxies: Game Update 13

Woah, more love to crafters -- in the same year 8) May the Force be with the Devs team eternally! /Zimoon Im not quite so sure about that Z. :? Raising the credit limit on Bazaar sales to 10 million could mean that the Bazaar becomes the game's universal "Auction House" and people quit using Player...

Re: Resources that do not "spawn" but viewable from 30k deeds

That's precisely what I meant Zimoon, though I was probably a bit more long-winded about it. >.> hehe. I don't update those resources personally either (I stick to ISDs), but I'd not like to discourage those who do, by making their jobs more annoying. Maybe you'd need to be an updater to see how ann...

Re: Resources that do not "spawn" but viewable from 30k deeds

* totally not official opinion follows * It seems to be that posting them definitely does more good than harm, for those who might use the deeds to procure some of the resource, just as you noted. I would submit to those who told you to remove the resource, that the website is not merely a list of c...

Re: Harvestors and Power, bugged?

Is this any relation to the not-null bug with elite harvy self-powered deeds? To clarify: with standard harvy deeds, the power will read as "null". But with one of the deeds I have, any harvy I use it on will read as 0 power, not as null, and yet it works just fine, keeps on harvesting, no matter wh...

Re: How do we give our new droids (post update 12) a name?

The OP mentioned that he's using the 4-command technique in his OP. He's got that part... it's just not working. OP, did you try with some names guaranteed to work? For example, I named my synthetic cloth droid Synthbot. Try doing the basic commands (no frills) and name yours that, since we know it ...

Re: Q would you buy sub-comps if you can make them yourself?

Right - except that I didn't say buying sub-combines was lazy. I said, lazy crafters would be among your potential customers (along with busy crafters, people short factories, cheapskates, interdependents, and respecs.) Buying components doesn't make you lazy, but some lazy crafters do buy component...

Re: Q would you buy sub-comps if you can make them yourself?

I agree with the others, that for "grind" components, you have a couple markets: 1) lazy crafters, busy crafters, or people who really need more factories than they can get - these people are looking for factory runs in bulk, bagged up for their convenience, even better if you deliver. Walls and cas...

Re: How do we give our new droids (post update 12) a name?

I haven't had any trouble naming (or setting commands for) new or old droids, and I've done a couple dozen so far. I strongly suspect it's a problem with the specific name(s) you're trying (or other problems with the text you're trying to enter into the command), as Tech Twin suggested. There are a ...
