I had planned to give it a spin but from what I understand it is not exactly the game I'd play for long so ... a spin. But now it is out of my plans, I have no intention to feed LucasArts any further. Sorry for Bioware's loss but...
Except in this case, it's a clear violation of copyright. A judge might not reward damages, but the ownership and rights of LA as the sole authorizing entity of how the Star Wars material is to be used would not be in question. You are correct. They ofc own the IP. Look at it this way, LA/LEC is no...
I am no lawyer but I have learned one thing throughout my life... Assuming LA knew about EMU but did not initiate a hunt on it in one way or the other then the case is thinned out over time and a court may very well just drop it with a slap in LA's face. Only if they can prove that they initiated a ...
Anyone giving any thought to moving over to SWGEmu after SWG shuts down? Granted, it's not complete and buggy but it's a free SWG pre CU/NGE version that eventually will bring back the original SWG experience for those who hated the changes SOE did. Yes, this has been brought up but today there is ...
They say time heals all wounds. This is going to take a long time... Indeed! Right now I post somewhat at the official LucasArts forum, at the Facebook group Official Save Star Wars Galaxies , and wherever. Chances that LA admit their huge mistake and that they do not understand gaming communities ...
Let me add my thanks to all the others. I will miss SWG more than I can say, and one big reason is its community. This website personified the best of that community - players working together to make the game even better. Good luck to all my fellow SWGers and a huge, huge thank you to Zimoon and e...
http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/06/24/exclusive-smedley-on-the-sunsetting-of-star-wars-galaxies/ I found some interesting tidbits there, even if LucasArts stick to their decision and SOE then change their minds I believe SOE can take some interesting pieces from the game and recycle them into othe...
I'll just chime into the choir of thanks ... kudos to Slyvampy that picked up where the old trokk-site ditched hard ... my biggest hugs to Sobuno, without you and your SOAP server idea SWGAide would not be what it became, may The Force be with your career forever
With the recent announcement about SWG I immediately discontinue SWGAide. The code is already available at SourceForge, would anybody want to continue on it you are free to do so without any acknowledgement from me. At times I have spent more time with SWGAide than I have played SWG, a way for me to...
Let me just summon all our feelings with this true story: My friends and I were in the middle of a successful ISD-run and we were cheering and bubbling as our guild always do in TeamSpeak. Suddenly a guy told the news ... all cheers and laughter died off ... we finished the run on auto-pilot but as ...
Not sure, mate. On my Win 7 work laptop a proprietary application screw up Java so I cannot use it any longer, so I cannot really check. I thought the Java installer handled things such as system paths, etc. Most often icons are hadled automatically though, but the console is different.
...Only thing is I'd still have to go and sample the resource for the stats, so don't really see the droids being that useful. As for the rem file, I'm copying the changes from my min file to it (new and depleted resources) then submitting that :) This is why you should not pop the veteran reward, ...
Thanks for the feedback. I will review and see if there is anything I can improve somehow. A note though, you seldom need to use the BAT file, but some users have had to to request a higher limit for virtual memory. I am not sure but perhaps this problem is obsolete by now, today computers have more...
